The answer of balancing democratic rights with public safety on the issue of ‘perv glasses’ is so obvious, The Magpie wonders if he is the first with … well …. the bleedin’ obvious.
EXCLUSIVE: Correspondence leaked to The Magpie reveals local mystery man who is seeking nomination as One Nation Candidate for Herbert.
A trip down the road less travelled: Adam Baillie takes us for a video drive along the length of the new Radical Bay Road, but his latest update on the project raises a question or two.
Plus a few random observation on various matters, and the weekly weirdness of our American cartoon gallery … satire is just getting harder and harder.
The blog plugs along, and so do the costs associated with producing it. Any help with a donation to maintain its upkeep (hopefully a spruced-up look coming soon) will be as appreciated as it is needed. The link to donate is at the end of the blog.
The Eyes Have It … But Should They?
Complex problems rarely require simple solutions – unless you go down Stalin’s path of handling opponents (‘man is the problem. No man, no problem.) And so it appears there is no simple answer to the multiple problems and few benefits posed by these new smart glasses … instantly dubbed perv glasses.
But to the Magpie’s mind, this is one of those rare occasions when the answer to this dilemma really is simple. Banning or restricting anything involving individual free will in a democracy is often unpalatable and anyway just as often, doesn’t work (tobacco war, anyone? Klunky cowardly partial ban on gambling advertising? Or perhaps the hilarious egg-on-face of the boomer laws of social media age restrictions?)
So now we face the latest challenge to privacy and safety, in the sudden proliferation of the so-called perv glasses This creepy and dangerous innovation – dubbed ‘smart glasses’ but more accurately ‘smart arse glasses’ – is the inevitable evolution of the mildly disconcerting rise of the phone camera/audio recorder. Similar concerns for this advance led to the law against up-skirting. (That we actually needed such a law is a sad commentary in itself about decency and restraint in our times.) With this new advance of insidious privacy invasion, the number of times these specs get ‘accidentally dropped’ on escalators will become a cliche.
And this is no clutching at pearls in alarm at a passing fad, the distaste and danger is widespread. And real.
Jonathan Liew in the Guardian clearly posed a key, and unsettling question:
The thing few have considered is who – with the exception of the partially sighted, hard of hearing and those otherwise in need of assistive technology – asked for any of this? If smart glasses are the answer, what was the question? Perhaps, as with AI chatbots and fridges with web browsers, there was none: just the lavishly funded persistence of a tech sector intent on manufacturing consent for the things it has decided we must have.
In so doing, it may succeed in turning the high street into an unwitting hub of surveillance. A society fearful of itself, paranoid and mistrustful. A public sphere exposed and disassembled and reduced to its constituent pixels. Where there is no longer a right to be anonymous, to be inattentive, to be forgotten or left alone by our fellow citizens. Where something as simple and innocent as a human gaze has been reimagined as an item of transaction.
So how could such an ubiquitous item be policed to protect the individual privacy? The answer is right in front of us – literally - remove the user’s own right to secrecy. To this end, the practical part is a simple law that does not ban smart glasses, but mandates allowable designs or requires identification of all such frames sold in Australia.
The ‘Pie doesn’t wish to make a joke out of this deadly serious suggestion, but by way of illustrations, let’s say these frames were mandated by law for smart glasses.
An exaggeration perhaps, but demonstrates the obvious principle – a design widely publicised to give immediate knowledge for people going about their business in public that they may be being recorded by a stranger. In a more serious vein for suitable design, there could be a designated fluro frame, say purple – or even candy stripe designs, which might have the added deterrence of pantomime parody. Failing this, one thing that could be implemented is a requirement that such glasses be clearly and prominently labelled, perhaps across the top of the front frame saying “Recording Device’.
But you ask, how would this stop the current surreptitious models being ordered over the web, bypassing such new laws. Easy. Include an amendment to the law so that anyone wearing such outlawed devices can be stopped, searched, and recorded material examined, under the powers of both anti-terrorism and stalking laws.
Think about it. But in the meantime, best to regard anyone with heavy black frames as suspect of dishonest unwholesome motives. Yes, anyone.
And On A Seperate Matter … No, Really, Seriously, Completely Seperate
The Magpie’s Deep Throat inside the One Notion Party has slipped the old bird proof of the widespread interest from ordinary, everyday folks who want to part of Cyclone Pauline following confirmation of her Queensland plans.
Dear Ms Hanson,
I was overjoyed to learn you were running candidates in all Townsville seats and I would like to be a candidate for One Nation.
You don’t know me but my name is Trolius Barry Birinbauer, and I have extensive experience as a company director both here and overseas. I believe I can add value to your Townsville campaign.
As this is a garrison city, I am much admired and respected in defence circles, due to my SAS experience. I was in a clandestine group which was so ‘off the books’ we are not even allowed to be awarded medals for display or be photographed in uniform. So suffice to say, I am used to taking the heat, stirring things up when they come to the boil or when a good grilling is needed. Hot water situations were part and parcel of my service.
My qualifications in finance should put the party in good stead, using the expertise of my degrees from the Sorbonne, Oxford, Harvard, and Rabieh Kraymen’s School of Business Ethics. The Harvard degree was done in between my astronaut training sessions in Houston. Of course, when I’m elected, I will advise NASA that I’m unavailable to take my place on the Uranus mission. I know declining this distant mission will disappoint many locally, a great number have already expressed strong support and eagerness for my off-planet mission.
I have never ever ever no never been involved in politics but believe it is time to put my real world experience to good use. I would love to meet up with you to discuss the possibilities. Hope you will understand my appearance when we meet, I have a very bushy beard and drooping moustache demanded of my religious beliefs, and must constantly wear a beanie and dark glasses as part of my cancer management program.
I understand you had an unpleasant disendorsement incident with a previous Townsville candidate, so I will ensure I bring all relevant documentary proof of my CV, if the ink has dried sufficiently
Yours (Really And) Truly,
Trolius Barry Birinbauer
PS Perhaps my current company, which imports crystal-drive watches with arthritic healing powers, could arrange a special shipment for giveaways during my campaign … although their RRP is $270 I’m sure we could arrange a bulk buy of say 3000 at cost ($6.99 +GST)
Radical Questions
During the week, MP Adam Baillie took us for a spin along the new Radical Bay Road, which is now complete to within a Charlie McColl dummy spit of the beach. Although The ‘Pie had been down the old road several times over the years, truthfully, he was surprised to remember how long it is, almost four kilometres. The trip will be a double delight for visitors, traveller and local alike, moving through the beautiful chaos of the Australia’s tropical bird-drop bush to suddenly burst out onto the verger of one of Magnetic Island’s many magical beaches.
Shortly after doing the drive-along video, Baillie released this short update on matters yet to be sorted. And this list raised a question or two.
The first one is given the lengthy pre-planning period and four month time frame of reconstruction, why weren’t all those questions, pedestrian safety, speed limits, illegal camping and, critically, car parking, worked out ages ago … it’s not as though the route of the road was going to change?
But that leads us to the second more important question being posed by opponentsof the re-opening of Radical bay – doubts have been raised whether there will be free, safe and unfettered public access to the beach? There are persistent but unsupported social media posts that the last 100m of the road are on land either owned or leased by the developer Juniper. Thus, the alarmist claim is, the only public access will be an unsafe mangrove area, which requires a (unplanned) boardwalk for safe access to the sand. Solid evidence of this claim has not been forthcoming, either to The Nest or elsewhere on social media, but Mr Baillie and his staff have not been ignorant of this widely disseminated claim – That claim has been allowed to circulate unchallenged on social media for quite a while. And Mr Baillie is the member for everybody, zealots and single issue opponents included, not just those who voted for him. So The ‘Pie asked Mr Baillie’s office directly about the situation, and received in part this reply:

I am writing to you following your message on Facebook regarding a recent update to the status of Radical Bay Road.
As you are no doubt aware, there are always lots of rumours circulating regarding the Radical Bay Road project, and indeed any project on Magnetic Island.
I have continuously reinforced our commitment, including at the last MIRRA meeting I attended, to restore functional access to Radical Bay, enabling emergency services, and the public to access Arthur Bay, Florence Bay and Radical Bay.
Following a facebook post earlier this year, I did some community consultation via a survey (also released via Facebook).
While the majority of respondents were in favour of the project, the respondents who opposed were most concerned about cost, environmental impact, pollution and illegal camping.
I am very pleased to share that physical works on the road have been completed, and I am now actively engaging with various stakeholders to put measures in place to manage concerns that have been raised prior re-opening the gate at Arthur Bay.”
And an earlier media release thgree months ago included the statement:
“The restoration of functional road access to Radical Bay will open up parts of Magnetic Island that were otherwise not accessible to a large section of our community, such as the elderly, young families and those with physical limitations,” Mr Baillie said.
So while the exact nature of ‘public access’ is yet to be spelled out, and remains somewhat elastic, it is difficult to give credence to some sort of clandestine deal between the government and Junipers to provide a private entity solely with a almost four kms of road costing several million taxpayer dollars. And that the private entity could block public beach access across their land. Perhaps such speculation has been fuelled by Juniper’s consistent claim that the road is not a private developers financial responsibility, and Brisbane’s previous insistence that the developer pony up for it has been the reason that no development has taken place.
So if Juniper’s suddenly re-emerge on the scene, the whole question of the nature of public access to the beach could become a major political issue. But hey, Adam, easy fix, just be a little less vague and in direct plain English, tell us about public access arrangements. Surely your government didn’t built a multi-million dollar yellow brick road without this question being resolved beforehand.
Speaking Of Tricky Questions
The ‘Pie understandably has a Google alert on a few subjects, unsurprisingly the Dudley Do-Nothings being on that list. So The ‘Pie was somewhat discombobulated when this popped up in his feed.
What the hell was this image-damaging, negative story doing as a TEL media release, an organisation funded in part by the ratepayers, and charged with the positive promotion of the city. And FFS, in the NT News rag in Darwin, although the original story is by a Townsville Bulletin journalist?
But the old bird paused before working himself into his usual weekly lather about TEL. He decided to check it out with the TEL site itself. But The ‘Pie could not find this media release on the generally comprehensive site, so he is guessing the fault … if TEL haven’t lost their minds completely … was a Google problem. Someone down at the Dudley’s might like to have a word with Google, The ‘Pie isn’t the only one that would have TEL on a notification alert, anyone vaguely interested in Townsville for business, migration and tourism, may well be seeing this as well.
But TEL weren’t the only ones to put out an inappropriate media release during the week. There was this from the TCC (and duly reported in the Astonisher).
Polite question: what the fuck has this grotesque wallow of recreational grief got to do with the council? Or more to the point, providing funding for this manufactured morbidity – to provide a sausage sizzle and trees to take home to remember Dad with? And, bloody spare me, have a council staff member read out your favourite poem for the occasion.? This is EXACTLY the sort of thing a responsible council should have nothing to do with as far as financial allocation goes. It is the type of favour-seeking by councillors – recently banished from the council grant process – that people are increasingly tired of. B ut it seems there are some Hill hangovers that still persist.
The ‘Pie is saddened to see that Clr Robinson, a man The Magpie has always regarded, and still does, as a valuable and intelligent figure around the Walker Street table, should sponsor this nanny state, woke group hug on the ratepayers dollar.
The money itself is a piddling amount but the principle is nasty and cynical … using manufactured recreational grief, a sausage and a free tree (FFS!) as a cheap vote buying exercise. While oversharing is a regrettable fashion of the current generation, some things like the fond memories of a loved father should remain in the privacy of family and friends, not with strangers.
Lot Of Noise Coming Out Of The Presidential Pram This Week
Trump’s renaming lakes insanity continues to provide a rich vein of derision, and it makes a nice change from having to draw complicated pictures of people in turbans.

Regarding smart glasses, will the fascist state also tap into these glasses electronically and use these glasses as an additional tool to spy on our private lives? Forget worrying about the glasses being used by perverts, I’m more worried about them being used to monitor our personal use. We wear the glasses and big brother monitors what we, the user, are doing. The day is coming in which we are all microchipped and have barcodes on our wrists.
If right now we were all microchipped and have barcodes on our wrists, you’d be in the repair shop, Guy.
Jesus Guy, after your blogs, we know more about you than our own families. We don’t need glasses to know anything about you. If you don’t want others to know about you, shut the fuck up.
Bloody spoilsport, Kenny, wanting to spoil all our fun.
It always makes me laugh when people with fucking mobile phones say they’re worried the government is going to microchip them and track everything they say and do. Why would they bother when you did it to yourself?
Watching the Netflix series on Henry 8th called Tudors at the moment. Gee! You can draw some parallels with a certain ‘Leader of the Free World’
History is dotted with these characters.
As for the Radical Bay road. What is going to look like after a big wet season. More $millions to spend.
Last night between about 9 and 10 the police helicopter doing low slow circuits over Kelso between Caroo St. and the dam, as best as I could tell. Good luck to the police.
Just another Saturday night in Townsville.
And by the way, this is the same police helicopter the bloody Laborits claimed for so many years that this community did not need. A pox on Labor.
There’s actually 4 of them in town now.
As for doing race tracks, we see regularly over northern suburbs doing surveillance on car thieves or dirt bikes trespassing on state/developers land, council easements or illegally on roads.
Little buggers on dirt bikes though gotten crafty and are in creek systems now as overstorey conceals them from the choppers optics. Problem is they are ripping the creeks up badly. Oh well be an own goal once greenies start noticing. Car thieves don’t care.
Four is good.
Two on task, one reserve and one in maintenance. Guranteed air support at all times.
How do you know it was doing anything useful? Could just be security theatre to impress the yokels.
Fuck me roan, you’re half a bun short of a burger, mate.
The beat goes on,
Yeah, the beat goes on.
The tape recorder taping chats by phone,
Mini-cameras used by spies alone
CCTV in the CBD
Facial rec in Bunnings vetting me,
Body cameras worn by troop and cop
Now SmartGlasses, when’s it going to stop??
…and the beat goes on (la di da di dee…)
Sonny & Cher would approve- if memory serves they did the original version back in the day??
Imagine if smart glasses were around when Troy was the short lived failed Mayor? He would’ve worn them into the chamber, during confidential meetings, when taking a crap. He would’ve been on his element!
Channel nine is selling its Mt Coot-tha broadcast site. Nice parcel of land that. With the addition of live streaming and enhanced technology, its radio towers and facilities have become redundant. It’s just a matter of time before other broadcast sites go the same way. And not far behind them will be the ailing newspaper services such as The Bullshittin and The Astonisher. Dust off your CV Lighton, you might land a gig pushing trolleys at Woolworths or perhaps join the parks and gardens section of TCC.
What a disappointing response from Adam Baillie about public access to the beachfront in Radical Bay – but not surprising given the lay of the land. I don’t think there’s any point in getting agitated that ” . . the private entity [ie. Junipers] could block public beach access across their land”, as you put it. After all, none of the thousands of freehold landowners in Townsville is obliged to let the public through their property just because it is convenient or they used to do it in the old days. Remember, the land boundaries in Radical Bay were purposely arranged the way they are, and guaranteed by the state government, long before Junipers came on the scene. If Junipers shut and lock the gate (long ago installed at the boundary) as they truly could, the general public will just have to face the fact that we have been ripped off by conniving 1980s and 1990s governments that oversaw, even encouraged, this banana republic stuff. Mr Baillie could redeem himself by admitting the evidence, putting the facts on the table and REALLY consulting with the community about overcoming this blatant and inexcusable travesty.
The ‘Pie shudders to think what your comments would be like if, Heaven forbid, you ever became ‘agitated’, Charlie.
Anyway, The ‘Pie is inclined to give this subject a rest until there are further facts to report. Have a nice, long cuppa, Charlie …. green tea, of course.
Last week you asked for evidence and this week you reckon “solid evidence of this claim has not been forthcoming, either to The Nest or elsewhere on social media”. Yesterday I sent you a Lands Dept document showing that an internal Road Reserve was closed in Radical Bay in the 1980s effectively terminating legal public access to the waterfront there. If you don’t believe it just say so.
It showed no such thing. And clearly is not up to date information.
Adam Baillie is sitting on a time bomb and no one can get him to talk. Don’t you wonder why?
Crikey, those AUKUS subs really must be duds for navigation, according to Get-Up.
The Pentagon says the plan is to “accelerate force posture initiatives at Australian bases”. In plain English: more American troops, more American weapons, and more American submarines on Australian soil. Another thousand extra US Navy personnel are due to arrive next year, with more to come.”
All climbing out of the conning tower onto Pitt Street, maybe?
Pie, and more fucking taxes to pay for all of this shit. 4 years of Albanese and our country really has turned to shit, with more shitful conditions to follow. Wait til this lowlife gets a hold of the $3 trillion in super. Spending like drunken sailors and pays for it – Australian citizens, pensioners and retirees….
“and more American submarines on Australian soil. ”
Bently where are you in the hour of need.
On the red dirt yank submarines dotted on the landscape. Puzzled yanks looking from the conning tower, and even more puzzled kangaroos and emus looking at the propulsion systems and missile silos.
In a few short weeks Div 1 should be resolved. Out of Pugh, Clare and Keune at least 2 maybe 3 won’t get the result they wanted. If they failed at other levels and miss out on the councillor’s position, will they retire hurt or join Barry in the limbo lounge ready for the next round?
Forget the rumours. If taxpayers have paid millions for this road, just publish exactly what public access is guaranteed, where it ends and who can close it. That would settle the argument pretty quickly.
In regards to the smart glasses, they aren’t really the issue, privacy is. Who collects the footage, where is it stored, who can access it and can the user actually delete it? Technology moves faster than regulation.
First part, totally agree.
Secopnd part WTF are you talking about? Individuals download it to post on the web. So of course they are bloody issue.
Division 1 voters have a decent size field to assess. Forget personalities and social-media warfare, and compare experience, conflicts, policies, transparency and who can actually do the job. Then let the voters decide.
Revolutionary thinking, mate. Let’s call it ‘Pin The Tail On The Donkey’.
And the second part of your comment was deleted … your source site is not to be trusted, especially when you re quoting an anonymous person. Just send in documentary claim of the proof. Pretty low, Steve.
Interesting to see our neck of the woods could play a part in the life of another Premier… this time in Victoristan.
No knowledge of said Mr Pickering here and probably wouldn’t have if not for current allegations.
I guess time will tell…
If you want a real hero hypocrite in all this Pickering and his past matter, who you really want is this two-faced paedophile, One Notion’s chief of staff James Ashby, once well known in certain Townsville (read Sovereign Hotel) circles. How he could spout these sanctimonious bromides with nary a guilty twitch is the mark of a true degenerate.
“He (Pickering) is quite aware of the importance of owning the past and — equally as important — providing hope for those who might be in a similar set of circumstances,” Mr Ashby said.
“His story is not unique. If anything, it demonstrates how someone young and determined can get their life back on track.”
There was more than a slight autobiographical tinge to those weasel words, because Ashby’s own trajectory to his current bad tempered prominence weathered the revelations that he was a paedophile, who had been in two relationships with a sequence of two 15 year old boys while he was working in radio in Townsville. This all came to light when he used his sexuality to make a political attack on the then House speaker Peter Slipper. Ashby was in his mid-twenties at the time of his paedolphilia activities (2003).One of the 15 year olds from the now ended sexual relationships detailed Ashby’s criminality in an email to Slipper when that scandal blew up in 2012. It was all reported in this story from the ABC.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-07-30/730-james-ashby/4164568
All this was no news to The Magpie, who had got wind of the story as the Canberra drama unfolded, and spoke to a family member related to one of the boys, who would only say they confirmed the basic facts of one of those relationships, but did not want to talk about it. In fact, although both sets of parents were distressed by the situation at the time, neither they or either of the two boys (now adults) would cooperate with the police investigation, wanting to move on from a now distant past. No complaint was made.
And that is the sole reason that police were unable to lay charges. There is no evidence that any inducements were involved in the ending of this matter, but knowing Ashby’s lack of morality linked to his oft-displayed violent temper, it is reasonable to contemplate offers were made. And is surely no coincidence that the email revealing all this to Peter Slipper waa the reason Ashby quietly dropped his spurious, politically motivated court action against Slipper son afterwards.
So how about a bit of your own high-flown hypocrisy, Jimmy boy, and own some of your own past. Pauline professed fondness for you must be because you smell of fish.
James Assby and Peter Slipper were both cut from the same cloth – rorters, charlatans and a complete waste of the air they breathe. Joyfully, only one of them remains in politics.
P.S Ever noticed how Peter Slippery and Cameron Dick look similar?
You make them sound a bit similar, too.
But seems the closet in empty now.
They are certainly getting attention, it’ll be interesting to see how Victoria goes. Jess Wilson leading LNP with a One Nation balance of power, that’ll bring it undone quickly, what a basket case the state will become, it is in bad shape.
Old mate Rabieh Krayem was brought to tears on 60 Minutes last Sunday after the two Iranian women soccer players who were granted asylum to live in Australia referred to him as their “second father”.

Crikey, has the Rabster turned over a new leaf?
Trump is in Dallas.
I wonder if he will drive by the Book Depositary or the grassy knoll.
That’s it from me. I’ll take my seat in the mostly empty convention centre where I can see clearly and unobstructed.
I do prefer the elegance of the theatre as opposed to the vulgarity before me.
Kind regards,
John
You can bet all of Dallas’s grassy knolls are being checked out.
Albo wants control of Australia’s $4.7t super pot. Several former Labor government ministers and high-profile figures hold influential leadership roles within Australia’s multi-trillion-dollar industry superannuation secto. Pigs with their snouts in the trough includes Swan, Roxton, Combet and Bureaucrat Cath Bothell. These grubs have been given positions of control over our money. This con has to end. Vote for ON and stop Labor from accessing OUR money.
Absolutely agree, but even if Labor is turfed out, don’t be silly enough to ever expect any repeal of said legislation. Money has this wonderful numbing effect on both memory and morals.
Big smoke vicinity Great Northern Hotel
Uh oh. Hope the ‘Pie’s comment previously about the beautiful but shuttered old building being a prime candidate for a jewish stocktake isn’t the case.
I reckon the Cri might be next for a “stocktake” I wonder if there are local professional auditors in town or they are contracted in.
Earlier news had the fire starting in the cafe next door, but once it hit the pub all that old spirit seeped wood, bang. Just like the Vic Park a few years ago.
A fire in a 100 plus year old timber building is never going to end well and all that seems to be left is the wrought iron on the verandahs. The Friday afternoon tapping of the wooden XXXX keg was a right of passage.
According to Wikipedia (note use of word ‘iconic’):
On 15 May 2015 a 19-year-old Townsville man was arrested in relation to a fire at the historic Great Northern Hotel in the city. The iconic hotel suffered internal damage on the lower level.[2] After sitting predominantly vacant over the next decade, a subsequent devastating fire occurred early on 11 September 2026, leading to significant structural damage.[3] The building was reported to have collapsed later that afternoon as a result of the damage [ABC News]
You’d think that would be a red flag to ensure the minimum safety requirements for an empty building, but first evidence appears to be that the owners instead opted for a ‘do nothing’ policy because of a wrangle with their insurers. No matter how this devastating fire started, the owners have to take responsibility for a huge community loss. And successive Walker Street regimes should be held accountable for the clear but totally unacceptable risk to public safety on the streets around the pub over the past years. The dsanger has been the subject of many comments over the years, and has been a subject in the blog.
Make no mistake, Hill Knew, Thompson (for what its worth) would’ve known, Greaney knew, as did a succession of CEOs, but no one moved to invoke public safety powers to make an historic landmark safe.
A couple of years after the landmark Sturt St Buchanan’s Hotel went up in smoke in 1982 I met up with the owners in Hong Kong. They had just taken possession of a brand new yacht – called Phoenix. Hmmm.
Not the first attempt, which entity owns the site? Let me guess too, slated for apartments.
OK, I’ll leave it at my opinion of what this attempt and probably successful one at it is.
We need laws where heritage listed buildings like this are mandated to be returned to original order by owners to stop nefarious behaviour like this. I believe BCC has such bylaws in place.
I won’t hold my breath seeing if TCC follows same path.
Disclaimer: One of my first beers in the city after stepping off the plane was in that pub so yes I may not be exactly unbiased.
The owners can now ‘develop’ the site as they please unencumbered by a heritage listing.
I’m glad the dump burned down. The dozers will come in and remove the rubble. Maybe they can turn the lot into a memorial for former councillors like Hill, Thompson, Mooney senior et al.
With that remark, I will defer to the ‘Mark Twain Defence’
Ground zero has a memorial site with 3,000 names on display. Plus a nice water feature. Perhaps something similar would look nice where the shitty pub sat, with former councillors names AND former CEO’s names displayed, as has already been suggested. Or maybe TCC will put stars on the pavement, like on Hollywood boulevard, with said names emblazoned on the footpath for all to see. I reckon slick Nick would get a hard-on over having his name displayed on such a way. We already know that streets and bridges are named after conceited fuckhead politicians, so why not!!
